5 Easy Ways to Use Leftover Halloween Candy

By Kamlyn Jurgensen November 7, 2014
Halloween was a fun night of fright and frivolity, but it can leave an abundance of candy in your pumpkin buckets and pantry. Here are 5 simple things you can do with your leftovers:
  1. Chop up candy and add it to brownie mixes. Junior Mints and Peanut Butter Cups are perfect for this!
  2. Grab any of the red, green, gold and silver color packaged candy, add them to a canvas or organza bag and voila, you've got an instant mini gift or gift embellishement for the holidays. Gold-wrapped candy is also perfect for a Thanksgiving hostess gift when given with a candle, specialty tea or other small items.
  3. Save them for the advent calendar or the Christmas stockings.
  4. Use colored candies (like M&Ms) to teach the kids colors or simple math.
  5. Donate it! There are two great programs you can donate your candy to - Operation Gratitude and Halloween Candy Buy Back. Click HERE for instructions to donate to Operation Gratitude.
