Blue Star Museums across the nation will be providing military families free entrance starting May 21. The list of participating museums and events is being updated constantly, so check back often.
The National Park Service is still offering its free annual pass to military members and their dependents.
Many Major League Baseball teams will be offering free or discount tickets for military members during the Memorial Day weekend. Check with your installation's ITT or MWR department for deals near you.
There are always Memorial Day Parades to take the family to, also. The National Memorial Day Parade takes place May 27 at 2 PM on Constitution Ave. You can always check your local Macaroni Kid site for the most up-to-date information about parades and events in your area.
Ongoing discounts include:
Disney World and Disneyland's special military park hopper pricing and resort discounts.
Anheuser Busch's "Here's to the Heroes Program" which offers one free ticket to active duty personnel, reservist and guardsmen and up to three dependent tickets. The parks included in this special are SeaWorld, Busch Gardens, Sesame Place, Water Country USA and Adventure Island.
The home improvement giants Lowe's and Home Depot have 10% military discounts all the time, too. You now need to register with Home Depot to get your discount.
Many more stores offer military discounts, too. Charlotte Russe, Old Navy, Foot Locker, Hot Topic and Aeropostale are just a sampling of the discounts available at my local mall.
