Hippity Hoppity Easter's On Its Way!

5 quick and inexpensive ideas to make Easter memorable.

Easter and spring seem to renew me with energy and make me want to have a little fun. Here are 5 affordable ways to have fun with your friends and family this Easter.

1. Pack your child's lunch or snack in an egg carton. Fill 6-12 plastic eggs with cheese chunks, carrot chips, jelly beans, small crackers and other snack-able foods. Place the eggs in an egg carton and send them off to school or let your toddler discover what's in each egg at home. I bet they eat most of their lunch when packaged in such a cool way.

2. Egg Your Neighbors. Most of us have been "elfed" or "booed" and now you can egg your neighbor, too. Just place filled plastic eggs in their yard and let the kids hunt. Make sure to grab our free "You've Been Egged" printable.

3. Bunny Tails. Using marshmallows or powdered sugar doughnut holes, fill a snack sized baggie. Create a tag that says "Bunny Tails" and staple it over the opening of the baggie.

4. Fill a mason jar with your favorite Easter candies. Attach a tag with the saying "You're Some-Bunny Special". This is a great teacher, neighbor or bus driver gift.

5. Easter bunny footprints. My family has always done Santa footprints, but now we are incorporating a few bunny footprints in, too. Just take flour, cornstarch, baby powder, or baking soda and create footprints using them. Creating a template from cardstock or thin cardboard can help make the prints uniform. For an added plus, use baking soda on the carpet and after the kids have seen the prints, vacuum up this odor absorbing carpet cleaner.
