Camp season is around the corner and you can still get your child in one of the camps provided by Operation: Military Kids. The Army and Army National Guard/Army Reserve are responsible for Operation: Military Kids. They have teamed up with 4-H and universities across the nation to provide camp experiences for military kids. The camps range from art camp to horse camps.
Although, the Army and DOD are sponsors of this program, each state has its own organization that leads it. This is due to the Guard and Reserve components. There are 43 states and DC participating in the program. All branches service members' dependents are welcome to attend events and camps. To find a camp near you, reference this list. Camper ages range from six to eighteen.
Operation Military Kids does more than offer camps, too. Each state holds its own activities and events. You can find your state and its calendar HERE.
